Growing up in Connecticut, Dr. Love always had a strong interest in medicine and a love for animals—so becoming a veterinarian was a natural choice! She graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Animal Science from the University of Connecticut, and went on to earn her DVM from the University of Florida, where she graduated in the top 10% of her class.
Prior to attending veterinary school, Dr. Love worked as a veterinary assistant and says she enjoys veterinary medicine because of the challenges it offers. As a doctor she has a special interest in the areas of internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and ultrasonography.
Dr. Love shares her home with her husband Dave and their daughter Daphne, who is the light of their lives. Their animal family members include Nola, a marsupial/chihuahua mix from Australia and two ginger cats named Phil and Orange Blossom. When she’s not working, Dr. Love enjoys skiing, camping, food, travel, and wine.
