Dr. Selmon graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2015 after completing her clinical year of vet school at Colorado State University. She moved to Seattle Washington soon after to start working in small animal general practice. Originally from San Francisco, she has also lived in Texas and the Caribbean. As much as she enjoyed the warm weather, her visits to the Pacific Northwest caused her to fall in love with the area… and the coffee! Her two dogs, a puggle and a boston, seem to fit right in as well with routine walks around Green Lake. Dr. Selmon is also passionate about travel and always looking for a new place to explore, especially if scuba diving might be involved. She loves to learn new things both in and outside of the hospital. She enjoys general practice because it allows her to help animals in the many different fields of interest, ranging from surgery to managing chronic endocrine disease, to dentistry. As an advocate for the pet, Dr. Selmon truly believes communication is key to forming a trusting relationship with clients so that the pet receives the best quality care. She’s excited to join the Mercer Street Animal Hospital family in 2019.
