Adele
Veterinary Receptionist
Hi, I’m Adele (she/her)!
I was born in China and adopted as a baby, growing up in the beautiful Seattle area. I found my way into the veterinary field thanks to my sister—she started as a vet assistant and is now a small animal veterinarian, and her journey really inspired mine.
In my free time, I’m a huge Mariners fan and try to catch as many games as I can. I also love tackling escape and puzzle rooms with my family—it’s one of our favorite ways to spend time together. At home, I’m kept company by my two brown tabby cats, Jack and Logan, who always keep things interesting.
Jen
Veterinary Receptionist
Hi, I’m Jen (she/her)!
I’m part of the front desk team here at Mercer Street Veterinary Hospital, where I get to welcome clients and their pets every day. One of my favorite things about working in veterinary medicine is being part of such an amazing community—plus, I love seeing all the adorable pets that come through our doors!
My love for animals is what first drew me to this field, and I’m so grateful to work alongside such a dedicated team.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading, playing video games, streaming, and spending time with my family and pets. At home, I have two cats, Lexi and Xander, who are expert snuggle buddies, laser pointer hunters, and professional sunbathers.
Andi

Hi, I’m Andi (she/her)!
I was born and raised in Washington, and animals have always been a source of joy and happiness in my life. Growing up surrounded by pets inspired me to pursue a role where I could work with them every day.
As a receptionist at Mercer Street Veterinary Hospital, I love greeting all the patients who walk through our doors and being part of such a kind and supportive team.
At home, I share life with two sleepy senior chihuahuas, Mochi and Dobbie—they’re professional snugglers and love soaking up the sun.
Outside of work, I enjoy practicing yoga, writing songs, and going on new adventures.

Bryant
Hi, I’m Bryant (he/him)!
I’m originally from Denver, Colorado, and my journey in veterinary medicine began in emergency care. I was drawn to this field because I love working with animals and wanted to be there for them when they needed help the most.
My goal is to become a veterinary technician and continue building my skills and knowledge to provide the best care possible. What I enjoy most about working at Mercer Street is the incredible team and the consistently wonderful clients and pets I get to interact with every day.
Outside of work, I love playing the drums and staying active with regular workouts.
Brandon Henegan
Associate Veterinarian
I’m a Washingtonian through and through—born in Spokane and raised in Vancouver, where I’ve spent most of my life. Ever since I was a kid, I looked forward to taking my dog and cat to their veterinary appointments. I loved learning something new about them each time, and that curiosity quickly grew into a lifelong passion for animals.
That passion led me to Washington State University, where I earned my degree in Animal Sciences. Whether it’s puppies, kittens, horses, or cows—I genuinely enjoy working with animals of all shapes and sizes. Eventually, this love for animal care guided me to pursue my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Arizona College of Veterinary Medicine.
I’m passionate about all aspects of veterinary medicine, but I’m especially drawn to preventative care, dentistry, and surgery. Surgery stands out to me because of its hands-on nature and the immediate, tangible impact it can have on an animal’s health and well-being.
I first became interested in Cara after speaking with recruiters who visited our school. But it was during my externship at Mercer Street Veterinary Hospital that I truly felt Cara was the right fit for me. The team is inclusive, driven, and deeply committed—not only to providing exceptional care to the community but also to fostering the growth and education of their staff. That culture really resonated with me and played a big role in my decision to start my veterinary career here.
When I’m not at the clinic, you’ll probably find me outdoors—hiking or kayaking with my two dogs, Penny and Spoon. They’re both named after Seahawks players, because yes, I’m one of the biggest fans you’ll ever meet!
Megan
Hospital Director
Hi, I’m Megan (she/her).
I’ve called Washington home since 2021, bringing with me a deep love for animals and a passion for creating meaningful connections with the people who care for them. Originally from California, my background in communications and business—along with a Bachelor of Arts from Azusa Pacific University—helps me lead with empathy and purpose every day.
I’ve worked across several hospitals within the Cara family, and what drives me most is creating an environment where both pets and people feel cared for. I’m passionate about helping our team grow and advocating for mental health awareness in our community.
My journey into veterinary management began with a life-changing experience: rescuing my dog, Ruby, from the side of the road. The compassion and expertise shown by the veterinary staff during Ruby’s recovery inspired me to dedicate my career to supporting animals and the people who love them.
When I’m not at work, you’ll find me practicing calligraphy, kayaking on a quiet lake, or experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen. At home, life is full of love and laughter with my husband, Anton, and our three furry companions—Dean, Ruby, and Fergus the cat.
Elizabeth Teyssier, DVM
Medical Director
Hi, I’m Dr. Teyssier (she/her).
My very first patient was my childhood orange tabby, who I cared for diligently while he recovered from hip surgery. That experience sparked a lifelong passion for both medicine and animals. I’ve always wanted to work in general practice because it allows me to build long-term relationships with patients and their families.
I’m especially interested in finding ways to make vet visits less stressful for pets, so they can receive the best care possible. Originally from Southern California, I fell in love with the Pacific Northwest while attending veterinary school at Oregon State University.
At home, I share life with two cats—Lady Sybil and Scoop—Periwinkle the dog, and my wife, Molly. When I’m not in the clinic, you’ll probably find me cooking, crafting, or trying to convince the cats that yes, they already had dinner.

Giovanni
Shift Lead/Veterinary Assistant
Hi, I’m Giovanni (he/him).
I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember. Growing up in Seattle, I spent countless hours at Woodland Park Zoo and could never get enough time around animals. Before COVID changed the protocols, I often visited Seattle Humane, Seattle Animal Shelter, and PAWS Lynnwood just to hang out with the dogs and cats—they’ve always been a huge part of my life.
In 2025, I became a Lead at Mercer Street Veterinary Hospital, where I’m proud to help create a welcoming environment for pets and their families.
At home, I share life with my amazing crew: Brutus, a Siberian Husky; Seven, a Doberman; and two cats, Blambz and Usagi. They keep me busy and bring so much joy to my everyday life.

Holly Hinnant, DVM
Associate Veterinarian
Hi, I’m Dr. Holly Hinnant (she/her).
I’m a proud West Seattle native, and I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I jumped at any chance to spend time with them—even begging my parents for a dog until they finally gave in and brought home a yellow lab puppy. Becoming a veterinarian was my dream from the start, and that dream came true when I graduated from WSU’s College of Veterinary Medicine in May 2024.
Before vet school, I earned my degree in Animal Science from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and had the incredible opportunity to work with a wide variety of animals—from polo ponies to research beagles and dairy calves. Now, I’m thrilled to begin my career at Mercer Street Veterinary Hospital and learn from such an amazing team of doctors and staff.
I love building relationships with clients and their pets, and my goal is always to help pet parents keep their companions healthy and happy. Outside the clinic, life is full of adventure with my partner, Fred (also a vet), our three dogs—Annabelle, Cheddar, and Pinto—and our cat, Eowyn. When I’m not caring for animals, you’ll find me horseback riding, reading, hiking, baking, painting, or sculpting.
Lance
Veterinary Assistant
Hi, I’m Lance (they/them)!
I’ve been in love with veterinary medicine and animal care since I was a child. Growing up, I spent countless days riding horses, running with dogs, and playing with cats—animals have always been an intrinsic part of my life. I’m so grateful to come to work every day and care for every animal that walks through our doors.
I especially love educating and supporting each client who visits us. Mercer Street Veterinary Hospital welcomed me with open arms into the world of animal medicine, and I can’t wait to see where this journey takes me!
Outside of work, I cherish time with my wife, my family, and my wonderful pets: Vexation, Talula (Destroyer of Worlds), and Avalon.

Lucy
Veterinary Assistant
Hi, I’m Lucy (She/Her)!
I’m a veterinary assistant here at Mercer Street Veterinary Hospital. I’ve always had a passion for animals, and my journey in veterinary medicine started back in high school when I volunteered at my local humane society. From there, I gained experience shadowing at a general practice clinic, which eventually led me to this amazing role.
What I love most about working in veterinary medicine is that every day brings something new. I get to combine my love of science with my passion for helping animals—and that’s incredibly rewarding.
Outside of work, I like to stay active by playing pickleball, going for runs, or taking yoga classes. I’m also a big fan of jazz music and never say no to a good game night with friends.
At home, I have a sweet little Chihuahua named Poppy. We love snuggling up with a good book and showing off her tricks—especially when there are treats involved!
Kella
Veterinary Assistant
I fell in love with vet med when I was 12 following our vet around my aunt’s farm; dehorning goats, deworming, and caring for sick animals. I later got to work with her as a volunteer at the Kootenai county humane society. After keeping a kitten or two… or three I decided this was for me. I started as a vet assistant in 2019 and am now starting my second semester of LVT school at Penn foster. I have a passion for chihuahuas with their tongue hanging out but love every animal that walks through the door like my own. Outside of work you can find me at a skatepark, or hanging with my dawgs.
Reid
Licensed Veterinary Technician
Hi, I’m Reid (they/them)!
I am a Licensed Veterinary Technician at Mercer Street Veterinary Hospital. I earned my license in 2025, but my journey in veterinary medicine began long before that. Starting in shelter medicine, I’ve built a career rooted in compassion, dedication, and a deep love for animals. Becoming licensed has been a meaningful milestone in a field that has always been my true passion.
Outside of work, I’m an avid cook and a creative spirit—I enjoy crafting, drawing, and especially illustrating my beloved cats. I also cherish spending time with friends, and I’m lucky to count the amazing team at MSVH among them.

Briar
Veterinary Assistant
Hi, I’m Briar (they/them).
I grew up in rural New Mexico and started my journey in veterinary medicine as a kennel attendant in Albuquerque when I was just 15 years old. In early 2020, I joined the Mercer Street Veterinary Hospital team and have been here ever since—even before our big move to the new space!
I currently work at another emergency hospital, but I love spending one day a week at Mercer Street because this team truly feels like family. My favorite parts of veterinary medicine are emergency and urgent care, as well as educating clients so they feel confident caring for their pets.
Outside of the clinic, you’ll usually find me birdwatching, searching for mushrooms, or hiking with my dog, Coyo. At home, I love spending time with my partner and our pets, and I often unwind by illustrating, watching a good movie or TV show, or cooking to destress.
Katie
Licensed Veterinary Technician
Hi, I’m Katie (she/her)!
I’m a licensed veterinary technician at Mercer Street Veterinary Hospital, and I primarily focus on caring for our surgical patients.
I love helping pets feel as comfortable as possible during their time at the clinic. It’s also really important to me that their people feel confident and informed about what’s happening with their animal and what to expect next.
I’ve been involved in animal care for years, and becoming a technician has deepened my skills and knowledge. It’s incredibly rewarding to play a more active role in a pet’s care and to help both the patient and their humans have the best experience possible while they’re with us.
Outside of work, I enjoy biking, being on the water in any way I can, and catching live shows when the opportunity arises.
I share my life with a lovely cat named Tug, who always looks perpetually surprised but is also incredibly chill. He’s been paddleboarding, biking, and on many adventures both on land and in a dinghy. He’s a really wonderful little dude!
